Here is a fun activity to teach children about shapes and colors, build those fine motor skills and get children excited to visit a chateau in the Loire Valley – a Chateau de Cheverny coloring page.
My family had a wonderful visit to the Loire valley and we found two chateaus that are fun to visit with children. The Chateau de Cheverny has a huge kennel full of hound dogs who are fed every morning. That is a treat for kids to watch. We also happened to visit in April, when 100,000 tulips planted in the grounds are in bloom – gorgeous. Then of course there is the house itself. Our favorites rooms were the nursery and the weapons room.
While at the Chateau de Cheverny, my 5 year old pointed out all of the shapes he could see on the outside of the magnificent home. Thus an idea for a printable was born!
Chateau de Cheverny Coloring Page
Here is what it will look like after children trace the shapes and color it in. I wonder what the owners of Chateau de Cheverny (who are of noble lineage and do live there in a private wing) will think of my paint job?
I hope you enjoy this free printable and please let me know what you think in the comments.
